Metrostudy began in 1975 as American
METRO/STUDY Corporation, a housing
market research firm founded by Mike
Castleman and Mike Inselmann. The
company initially surveyed single-family
residential subdivisions in the Houston
market. During this time, Metrostudy
developed and perfected the lot-by-lot
survey methodology that continues to set
the industry standard today.
During the ensuing 28 years, Metrostudy
migrated from a paper-based data delivery
model to delivery via Metrosearch, a powerful
computer application allowing the user to
access information quickly and easily.
Today, Metrostudy is the leading provider of primary and secondary market information to
the housing and related industries nationwide. While the corporate offices are still
located in Houston, services are now offered through an extensive network of offices
strategically located in major metropolitan areas throughout the country. In addition to
providing information, the company is recognized for its consulting expertise on
development, marketing and economic issues, and is a key source of research studies
evaluating the marketability of residential and commercial real estate projects.
