Feds Restate 10 Years of Housing Data

The U.S. Census Bureau recently admitted, in a footnote, that it has restated all of its monthly and annual estimates on residential construction activity from January 2005 forward due to a “processing error in the tabulation of data on private residential improvement spending.”

The restatements vary in swing over time, with more recent data being more strongly impacted.
