Bill Bailey is a Consultant Metrostudy, based out of the South Florida office. He has 25+ years of experience working in the homebuilding, multifamily and commercial real estate industries in development, feasibility analysis, and execution. He started his career at Equitable Real Estate (now LendLease) where he worked on the developments of Weston, Florida, a 15,000 acre tract where 17,000 residential units sit today, with accompanying retail and office developments, and on several large high-rise condominium developments throughout Florida. His responsibility for Equitable Real Estate included quarterly and annual valuations for its open and close-end funds of all asset classes. Bill was an appraiser before joining the major investment management companies of Heitman, Ltd. and Highwoods Properties (NYSE:HIW) as an executive. Bill most recently worked for a regional developer of Class A office buildings and apartment complexes in all phases from site acquisition, analysis, debt structuring and construction. Bill has a master’s degree in journalism and communications from Florida International University where he focused on market research and data analysis. His thesis, The Internet and Real Estate Residential Brokerage written in 1997, explored the potential of searching for houses online. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in real estate from the University of Florida.
